Playday

Playday is a special program designed to strengthen the bonds between children and their incarcerated parents. Unlike standard prison visits, which can often feel intimidating or emotionally difficult, Playday creates a more natural and nurturing environment where kids can spend quality time with their parents through play.

The program sets aside specific days called "Playdays" for families to reunite in a relaxed, child-centered space filled with games, toys, and activities. During these visits, children and parents can read together, play, laugh, and build meaningful memories that help maintain their emotional connection despite physical separation.

By focusing on play, Playday helps reduce the stigma and emotional distance caused by incarceration, supports healthy child development, and encourages parents to remain engaged in their children’s lives. It’s both a family-strengthening and rehabilitation-oriented initiative that recognizes the importance of maintaining parent-child relationships even in challenging circumstances.
