ABOUT US

S.O.A.R. (Supporting Offenders in Achieving Reintegration) is a not for profit organization based in Oklahoma City, OK that was established in 1991 by Church Women United.  S.O.A.R. began with the sole purpose of providing child transportation services to the Dr. Eddie Warrior Correctional Center in Taft, OK with the intention of re-connecting children with their incarcerated mothers.  Since establishment, S.O.A.R. has evolved into a platform that aides in life after incarceration.  This includes referrals for employment, education, housing, and as well as training to become more productive citizens upon their release.

OUR DIRECTOR

Cynthia Thompson is the present Director of S.O.A.R.

Being a former offender herself, it has turned into a life mission to share her story, her knowledge, and her reference.

TESTIMONY

Ms. Thompson is very open about her truths, her past, and how certain life choices led to her incarceration.

Since her release, she has been a productive member of society and has proudly expunged her record.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

S.O.A.R. is always looking to partner with like minded organizations.  Volunteers are crucial to the success of our vision.  S.O.A.R. is an ecumenical group and welcomes the participation of men, women, and members of all faiths.  We hope to be a vessel that will bless those who are most often forgotten, bring hope to the hopeless, and shine light on a potential prosperous future.
